the six of tethers

The inside of the Cloisters was just as beautiful as the outside, but for whatever reason I found the set of illuminated playing cards my absolute favorite thing. The suits are so strange & the details of the face cards make me think of the figures on Tarot cards. I want these cards so badly! Why haven't they released a reproduction set yet?

I also now get why the Unicorn Tapestries are so popular. It's beautiful to piece the story together when you see them all at once &, as with the other tapestries, are full of amazing details & represent such great skill.
